Washing Soda
INCI: Sodium Carbonate
What it is: A naturally occurring mineral salt derived from the ash of plants and limestone.
Why we use it: Washing soda is a powerful water softener. It boosts cleaning performance by breaking down grease & lifting stains, allowing detergents to work more efficiently — especially in hard water areas (like most of the UK).
Why it’s safe: It is non-toxic, biodegradable, fragrance-free, and free from petrochemical surfactants. While strong in cleaning power, it rinses away completely and leaves no harmful residue.
Where it comes from: We use responsibly mined, sustainably processed sodium carbonate.

Baking Soda
INCI: Sodium Bicarbonate
What it is: A mild alkaline mineral salt.
Why we use it: Baking soda neutralises odours, balances pH, removes stains, and softens water. It prevents build-up and keeps fabrics naturally fresh — without synthetic fragrances or masking chemicals.
Why it’s safe: Baking soda has been used for over a century for baby care, skincare, and gentle cleaning. It’s food-grade, non-toxic, and fully biodegradable.
Where it comes from: We use natural mined bicarbonate, not synthetic manufacturing-grade versions.

Colloidal Oats
INCI: Avena Sativa Kernel Flour
What it is: Finely milled oats with their beneficial lipids and compounds preserved. Traditionally used in dermatology for eczema, cradle cap, and sensitive skin.
Why we use it: Colloidal oats soothe irritated skin, reduce itching, and help protect the skin barrier. In laundry, it makes fabrics feel softer and helps reduce irritation without synthetic softeners or fragrance.
Why it’s safe: Clinically proven safe even for babies and eczema-prone skin; recommended by dermatologists worldwide.
Where it comes from: Sustainably farmed oats milled into ultra-fine colloidal powder.

Epsom Salt
INCI: Magnesium Sulphate
What it is: A naturally occurring mineral compound of magnesium and sulphur.
Why we use it: Epsom salts soften laundry water naturally and help lift dirt without harsh chemicals. They also reduce odor and help regulate fabric pH.
Why it’s safe: Safe even for baby baths. Non-toxic, fragrance-free, and 100% biodegradable.
Where it comes from: Harvested from mineral-rich natural deposits, purified, and refined.

Distilled White Vinegar
INCI: Acetic Acid (5–8%)
What it is: A naturally fermented vinegar distilled for purity and clarity.
Why we use it: Vinegar breaks down limescale, dissolves soap scum, removes detergent residue, and naturally softens fabric without artificial softeners or petroleum-based quats. It also neutralizes mould and bacteria.
Why it’s safe: Food-grade, biodegradable, safe for baby clothing, cloth nappies, and anyone with sensitive skin or chemical allergies.
Where it comes from: Sugar or grain-based fermentation, distilled into a clear, clean acid.

Pure Castile Soap
INCI: Saponified Oils (e.g. sodium olivate)
What it is: A true soap made by saponifying plant oils with natural alkali. Traditional Castile soap contains no synthetic detergents, petrochemicals, or preservatives.
Why we use it: It gently cleans while preserving fabric integrity, making it ideal for baby clothing, sensitive skin, and delicate fibres. It also biodegrades quickly, protecting waterways and aquatic life.
Why it’s safe: Made from food-grade oils, non-toxic, free from SLS, SLES, dyes, formaldehyde donors, PEGs, and synthetic fragrance. Dermatologist-loved for infant skin.
Where it comes from: Traditionally from olive oil in the Castile region of Spain — now also made with coconut and other plant oils.

Zeolite
INCI: Zeolite
What it is: A microporous mineral formed from volcanic ash and seawater. It acts like a natural sponge, trapping heavy metals, chemicals, and odours.
Why we use it: Zeolite is a safe mineral alternative to harsh chemical builders. It softens water, improves cleaning efficiency, and captures impurities — while being gentle on skin and fabrics.
Why it’s safe: Inert, non-toxic, non-reactive, and used in medical detoxification and water filtration.
Where it comes from: Mined from natural deposits and activated through careful milling (not synthetic zeolites).
